How to Prepare for a Float Session:
Make sure to arrive a 3-5 minutes early to your session so you are not rushing in stressed and can use the restroom if needed. Stay hydrated and bring a water bottle with if desired. You will begin your Float by taking a quick shower in your private room to wash off any deodorant, lotion, hair product, perfumes, etc. You pick if you want music, lights, etc and then get in. We recommend floating naked as a swimming suit could interfere with your sensory system, but if you feel more comfortable with a suit on that is fine as well. When the session is over, you will hear a sound and then you will shower again to get any salt residue off your body and hair. We have an adjacent changing room with a hairdryer, etc. Also, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, etc are all provided for you.
Before Your Float
Preparing for deep rest and renewal.
What is float therapy?
Float therapy involves resting effortlessly in ~10 inches of water saturated with ~1,200
lbs of pharmaceutical grade Epsom salt. The dense saltwater fully supports your body
weight, creating a zero-gravity environment that soothes muscles, quiets the mind, and
restores balance to your nervous system.
What should I expect during my first float?
Your first float we will take a few minutes to orient you to your private float suite and
what to expect during and after your experience-ask as many questions as you like!
After rinsing off in the shower that is in your private suite you will begin your float. You
will have ear plugs, a headrest, and A&D ointment if needed. Once you are in your float
you can choose total darkness and silence or keep a soft light or gentle music on at any
point in your session with the soft touch buttons located inside the tank. Most people
relax fully within minutes and often say the time passes faster than expected.
What do I wear?
Most guests float nude to enhance the sense of freedom and relaxation - think: it is
easier to relax if a bathing suit is not pulling at your neck or too tight around your waist.
However, wearing a swimsuit is perfectly fine if that helps you feel more comfortable!
Do I need to bring anything?
We provide everything—towels, earplugs, A&D ointment, Qtips, shampoo, conditioner,
body wash, lotion and fresh water. It is recommended to eat lightly beforehand and
avoid caffeine just before your session.
Can I float if I can’t swim?
Yes! The water is shallow (about 10 inches), and the salt concentration makes it
impossible to sink. You’ll be safely supported the entire time. We do have inflatable
headrests as well as pool noodles if that makes you feel comfortable (but we promise
they are not necessary and can actually take away from your experience).
How long are sessions?
Standard floats are 60 minutes, though 30 sessions are available - longer visits are
available by request as well. Many guests find their first float feels much shorter than
expected.
During Your Float
Relax. Let go. Float away.
Is the water clean?
Absolutely! Between each session, the water is fully filtered multiple times using UV
light, micron filters, and 35 %hydrogen peroxide. The high salt content also acts as a
natural disinfectant.
Can I float if I have a cut, tattoo, or colored hair?
Wait until tattoos are fully healed and hair dye no longer bleeds in the shower (10 days
is recommended). Saltwater may sting open cuts or burn in your eyes. This is why we
offer the A&D ointment and fresh water spray bottle. This will take away any sensation
in 1-2 seconds.
Can I float while pregnant?
Many expectant mothers find relief in floating, especially for back and joint discomfort
(and many can even hear their baby’s heartbeat!). In general, we recommend floating
starting in your second trimester up until your final month of pregnancy. However,
always consult your healthcare provider before booking.
What if I’m claustrophobic?
We have a completely open float suite for you! Even if you are in a cabin, remember
you’re always in control. You can leave the lights on, keep the door open, or listen to
music-whatever helps. Most people who are initially anxious quickly find the experience
deeply calming and even the smaller cabin feels quite spacious.
What if I get saltwater in my eyes or mouth?
A fresh water spray bottle is inside your float suite to rinse if needed. Try to avoid
touching your face once you’re in the tank as this is usually the only way you can get
water in your eyes.
Can I fall asleep?
Yes! Many people do. You’ll remain safely buoyant the entire time, even while asleep.
Can I meditate or listen to music?
Definitely. You can choose silence or calming music—whatever helps you feel most
centered and relaxed.
After Your Float
Integrate the calm and carry it with you.
How will I feel afterward?
Most guests describe feeling lighter, calmer, and clearer. The relaxation can last from
hours to days—a sensation often called the “float glow.”
What should I do after my session?
Take your time re-entering the world. Shower. Use our vanity room to blowdry your hair
and prepare for the rest of your day. Hydrate well, stretch gently, or journal. Many
guests find this is when insights or inspiration arise.
Can floating help me sleep better or recover from workouts?
Yes. Floating helps reset your nervous system and reduce inflammation, supporting
better rest and recovery.
How often should I float?
You’ll feel benefits after one session, but regular floats—weekly, biweekly, or
monthly—help maintain and deepen results. We offer our monthly memberships and our
members always receive the best rates!

Mind–Body Connection
Float therapy for the multidimensional self.
Pain, stress, and imbalance are often multidimensional—arising from physical,
emotional, and energetic factors. Floating addresses all layers at once by creating
space for the body to release tension, the mind to quiet, and the spirit to realign.
It’s not about escaping the world—it’s about returning to yourself.
